The Makarov Pistol

The Russian Makarov pistol, also known as PM, is a Soviet era semi-automatic pistol.

Weapon designer Nikolay Fyodorovich Makarov was project lead on the development of the pistol, and it became the standard military side arm of the Soviet Union in 1951.

The Makarov resulted from a design competition to find a short-list of options to replace the WW2 era Tokarev pistol.

It remains a popular weapon because of its simplicity, ease of manufacture and stopping power.

The Makarov is still standard issue in many parts of the Russian military and police as well as with other former Soviet Republics and North Korea and Vietnam.

This replica by Denix is a same size and weight faithful reproduction of the real firearm with working metal action and removable magazine.
